As an official Prept School Sponsor, our support will help deliver hands-on cooking experiences to pupils at Eastbourne Academy. These sessions are designed to build life skills, confidence, and wellbeing through food — connecting students with where their food comes from and the people who produce it.
Our solicitors will also be rolling up their sleeves alongside students at three in-school sessions this academic year, with the partnership culminating in a ‘Farm to Fork’ day at Plumpton College on 20 March 2026.
Founded to advance food and nutrition education, Prept runs immersive, curriculum-linked programmes across schools and communities, giving children the chance to cook, learn, and eat together. The charity collaborates with teachers, chefs, and local food producers to bring food education to life — from classroom lessons to hands-on experiences on working farms.
Hamed Ovaisi, chairman, said:
“Food education plays such an important role in young people’s lives, promoting healthy habits, teamwork, and confidence. Supporting Prept also resonates with our work in the hospitality sector, where we see firsthand how food brings people and communities together. We’re delighted to help expand the brilliant work Prept is doing.”
Prept’s co-founder, Dan Wade, added:
“SO Legal’s generous donation will ensure that we can continue to deliver high-quality food education to Eastbourne Academy, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership together.”
Supporting food and hospitality from the classroom to the kitchen
Our involvement with Prept reflects our long-standing support for the hospitality sector — a field where we’ve built lasting relationships with chefs, restaurateurs, and operators across the country.
From independent cafés to Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Humble Chicken in London, we provide specialist legal advice that helps businesses grow and succeed. Partnering with Prept allows us to give something back to the community that inspires much of our work — encouraging young people to explore the world of food and hospitality with confidence.
We’re looking forward to working closely with the Prept team and seeing the impact of this initiative on local students.
