It has been our pleasure to assist Charles Cox Group in expanding its block management business by acquiring Eastbourne-based property management firm Cable Rock Limited.
Newhaven-headquartered Charles Cox is a specialist in all aspects of leasehold and general property management and surveying services - serving clients on the south coast for over 10 years.
Co-founder Matthew Cox said:
"We have recently expanded Charles Cox Group by acquiring Eastbourne-based company Cable Rock Ltd. This has been an exciting time for our company, and the team at SO Legal have been instrumental in assisting with our expansion plans."
The growth of the Charles Cox Group involved taking on the blocks managed by Cable Rock, and what began as an asset purchase evolved into a share purchase halfway through the legal process.
Hamed Ovaisi handled the legalities efficiently and quickly, with great due diligence ensuring Charles Cox was fully protected against tax liabilities.
Cox added:
"We were guided throughout by their extensive knowledge and expertise, strengthening our company and standing us in a strong position for the future.
"The Charles Cox Group now provides Cable Rock clients with a broader range of property management services, including chartered surveying. We have an office base in Eastbourne, and staff have moved over from Cable Rock to an expanding team at our Newhaven headquarters."
Hamed Ovaisi, managing director and head of corporate and litigation at SO Legal, said:
"We were delighted to be involved in this deal, and we look forward to seeing the Charles Cox Group thrive in the future. Our strong business sale and acquisition credentials and property sector expertise meant we could provide commercially-minded legal advice for our client."
